I am writing to update you on the programme of highway works to be delivered this financial year 2026/27. These are works to maintain the Somerset highway network in your Local Community Network (LCN) area of Levels & Moors.
Please see the below table of carriageway and footway resurfacing, drainage, and earthworks to be delivered this financial year (as of week commencing 28/9). The locations and extents of these works are displayed on our Public Information Portal (PIP).

The above list has been updated following a review of the available budgets and contractor resource. As previously advised, works can be delayed for a variety of reasons. These can include future planned works that need to be undertaken prior, ecology concerns, roadspace availability, network coordination, and other operational factors. As such, this is an indicative list and delivery is not guaranteed.

Looking ahead to the next financial year 2027/28, our Area Team’s have submitted their structural maintenance schemes. Below is the initial list of works for your LCN area. Again, please bear in mind that this is an indicative list and subject to change. Over the coming months we will be reviewing internally as well as updating our Public Information Portal. The list does not include information on our Surface Dressing programme for next year and this will be sent separately closer to the time.
